Quantitative Research
HSM's quantitative research and analytics capabilities cover a full spectrum. The HSM team includes PhD and Master's-level staff specialized in research methodology with many years of experience in survey design for health care clients.
Online Survey Programming and Fielding
HSM has been programming and hosting our own secured, password-protected Internet surveys since 2003. We use established and reliable survey software tools to do all programming and hosting in-house by a team of seasoned programmers, allowing substantial flexibility in survey design and implementation.
Panels
HSM maintains an internal panel of health plan and PBM decision-makers (pharmacy directors, medical directors, and employers (HR/benefits executives)). We regularly work with our panel partners for other targeted audiences such as consumers, physicians, and other professionals. Click here to join our panel.
Phone Survey Fielding
HSM works with its research partners for large-scale, quantitative telephone fielding. All are equipped for on-site and remote client monitoring at each of its centers. Studies targeting high-level executives in hospitals, health plans, group practices, and employers are conducted in-house by consultative interviewers.
Data Analysis
Analysis begins before the survey is collected, because the whole study is designed with the end in mind. Although many projects require only basic analysis, HSM is fully capable of performing complex data analyses including factor analysis, cluster analysis, discriminant function analysis, and structural equation modeling. We have experienced staff dedicated not only to data analysis, but also to quality checking. Our core capabilities include:
- Driver analysis - what are the most important predictors of satisfaction and perceived value of clients' products and services?
- Loyalty - how likely are respondents to continue doing business with you?
- Competitive gaps - how do results compare across competitors?
