2004 HSM Speaking Engagements

"The Economic Valuation Tool (EVT)"

Attendees at last year's Institute for Health and Productivity Management conference were excited by the unveiling of a valuable new tool for advancing health and productivity management. The Economic Valuation Tool (EVT) was developed in collaboration with Dow Chemical and the University of Michigan Health Management Research Center. It was thoroughly tested at Dow and is already in use there. Now the Institute is presenting the new market-ready, web-based version of the EVT. Catherine Baase, MD, Global Medical Director at Dow returns to recap the development and testing of the tool and describe its current use at Dow. Sheryl Bronkesh, MBA, President and Jim Hendrix, Vice President of Research, both at the HSM Group will then demonstrate the user-friendliness of the brand new web-based version. Dee Edington, PhD, University of Michigan, will describe his ongoing roll updating the literature-based components of the tool, which will then be available for personal testing in the Exhibit Hall.
